Passion Guide

This project is a typographic book showcasing a handful of different recording studios in San Diego County, highlighting their different strengths and philosophies. It's meant to be short and sweet, emphasizing important details and as well as any interesting history the studios might have.

Concept & Process

I wanted to keep this project simple and minimalistic, since often I find myself trying to do too much and fill up space in my designs.

The Product

I started putting together the aesthetic I wanted to achieve; simple and clean, but still powerful and effective. I decided to utilize grayscale photos and work with a deep purple color.

I did my best to keep my layouts free of clutter, and I think the final product really shines as a result. The content and the visuals speak for themselves without being taken away from by busy features.

This project also tasked us with creating a companion piece, so I decided to create a small pamphlet depicting the simplified anatomy of a synthesizer.
